Chapter 7

ch7finalJada woke up in an abandoned warehouse.  She was not sure how long she had been out.  Still a little groggy from the chloroform, she looked around the room.  Not being able to recognize her location, the fear inside her grew.  Her fear rose to an almost painful height when she saw a male figure emerge from the shadow.
“Good to see you awake Ms. Jada,” he said with a slight Jamaican accent.  “You’ve been a very hard person to catch up with.”  Jada looked at him strangely. “Who are you?” she whispered.  “You don‘t know me. However, you do know my niece. Styles is what you called her, yes?” he replied, approaching her.
With every step he took towards Jada, her heart pounded harder against her chest.  At that moment, she regretted ever meeting Styles.  How could she miss the fact that Styles was Jamaican?  She never heard an accent from her or any of the relatives she met. Completely bewildered, she could do nothing but swallow hard and try to remember to breathe.  Read the rest of this entry

Chapter 6

imageAfter purchasing the items she needed, Jada jumped back into her car and dialed Supreme to let her know she was on her way.  Supreme answered her phone, conversed with her for about a minute, and hung up.  The urgency in Supreme’s voice caused Jada to rush home.
At the condo Supreme looked at Holiday and said “Jada is on her way. We’ll finish this discussion at a later date.” Holiday just looked at her without saying another word.  She was totally dumbfounded about the entire situation.  The revelation of Lucky being Styles cousin threw her aback.
Supreme walked out the front door and left Holiday inside to think.  She sat and thought about the night of the shooting.  The longer she thought the more things became clear.  Lucky was one of the females from Ozone the night of Jordan‘s party.  Although her real name was Toni, she preferred Lucky. Chapter 5

ch5picfinalWhen Stoney entered her SUV, she furiously slammed her fist on the steering wheel.  Her anger stemmed from Jada being with Supreme, she just could not understand why.  They were just together kissing passionately.  How could Jada not feel the same way?  She knew she had no right to feel this way, which pissed her off even more.  Stoney started the truck, shoved the gear into drive, tires screeching as she pulled off.   She sped towards the hospital but slowed down once she reached the highway.
As she thought about the situation more, she felt ashamed.   Read the rest of this entry

Chapter 4

ch4On the other side of town, Kayron sat in his truck in deep thought.  He never felt guilty about their line of business until it started to involve Jada.  He viewed her as a little sister so he felt she deserved to know what happened to Styles.  He pulled out his phone and called her, but he got nothing but voicemail.  Kayron decided to it was better to deliver the news in person.  He hit the highway and a half hour later, he pulled up to the condo and parked.  He gathered his thoughts and prepared for the wrath he believed was sure to come. When he arrived on her floor, he knocked on the door and waited.  No one came to the door so he knocked a little harder.  Still no one answered.  He jiggled the doorknob and surprisingly the door opened.  ‘Jada would never leave her door unlocked’ he thought to himself.  An alarm immediately went off in his head, so he grabbed his Desert Eagle from the small of his back and crept inside.
Quickly scanning the living room, he tiptoed in further.  After a few steps, he stopped to listen for any movement.  The noise he heard led him to Jada’s room.  With his weapon in hand, he made his way through the hallway.  Prepared for the worst, he pushed the door open with his gun.  Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.  He stood dumbfounded as Stoney and Jada kissed and touched each other passionately.
